Top 5 Tips on Facial Treatments – It Doesn’t Need To Be Expensive!

The face – yes, our one and only face,do need special attention. It’s the only one we’ve got!

It is a fact that facial skin problems appear now and then.  There are the pimples, acnes, wrinkles, white spots, dark spots, white heads, dark heads, etc., name it and you can always find one sitting on your face.

Causes of facial skin problems range from hormonal changes, stress, lack of sleep, use of make-up, eating habits or environmental pollution. Therefore, regular facial treatments are a must. It doesn’t mean the expensive ones. There are many proven age-old ways and means to maintain healthy facial skin. 

Step 1: Cleanse

Always wash your face thoroughly before you go to sleep at night. This is number one key to healthy facial skin. The day’s dust, heat and grime lodge in your skin, especially in the face as it is the most exposed part of your body. If you use make-up, use make-up remover before washing. Give your face a light massage also while cleansing it before washing with warm water.

Step 2: Scrub and exfoliate

Get rid of dead skin by gently rubbingyour face with facial scrub. Focus more on rough spots where blackheads normally appear, such as the nose and upper chin area.If you have oily skin, focus more on the T-zone. Choose a gentle scrub product for your skin to avoid irritation. You can also create your own facial scrub by mixing coconut oil with white sugar. Apply for 5-10 minutes and wash off with warm water.

Step 3: Steam

Fill the sink with warm water, dip a towel in it and put it on your face. Do it 3 times. Or poura hot boiling water into a basin and position your face above the water to allow the steam to get into your face. Then go into the pores to take out the dirt and dead skins. Do it for 5 minutes.

Step 4: Mask

Instant facial masks are available in drugstores and beauty shops. Make sure to choose one that is right for your skin type. For oily skin, use clay-based face mask. If you prefer natural ones, make your own.Here are somerecipes which you can make yourself.

  • For sensitive skin, take 3 teaspoons of milk and 3 teaspoons of honey and mix in a bowl.
  • For a fresher, fairer result, use a mixture of 1 teaspoon of powder milk, 1 teaspoon of honey, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and halfa teaspoon of almond oil.
  • For oily skin, you can mix slices of tomato with several drops of lemon juice.
  • To get rid of face blemishes such as acne, black spots, white heads, apply a mixture of fruit juices of lemon, potato and cucumber. Or apply mashed green papaya with added milk.
  • For acne skin, make an apple facial mask. Select a medium-sized apple and mash it. Add 5 spoons of honey and apply it to the face.
  • For rejuvenation, take an egg and separate the white from the yolk. Take the white and stir it until it forms foam. Cut a lemon into 2 parts, take the half, squeeze and mix it with the egg white. Use acotton, to rub it to your face. Wait until it dries before going to sleep.

Apply the mask and keep it on for 10-15minutes, ordepending on instructionsof commercial facial masks. Avoid areas around the eyes. Rinse thoroughly with a towel soaked in warm water.

Step 5: Moisturize

Apply moisturizer on your face and neck. For an additional weekly treatment, break a vitamin E soft capsule and apply the oil on the face. Leave it on your face overnight.

This set of routine doesn’t cost much.
